Simpro Setup Review

Is your Simpro set up right? We check. We change nothing.

A read-only review of your Simpro build. We follow the money into Xero, the jobs through to invoices and the costs onto each job, then write up what we found, what it means for you, and the order to fix it in.

Read-only · Ranked findings · An action plan you keep
What we check

Where the money and the hours go.

Checked in your live Simpro, not guessed from a questionnaire.

01

Money and Xero

Account links, tax codes, card fees and payments. Does money land in the right account in Xero, and do payments come back to Simpro?

02

Deposits and progress claims

How deposits and claims are raised, sent to Xero and matched, so every payment has an invoice to match against.

03

Jobs, invoicing and follow-up

Completed jobs not yet invoiced, overdue reminders, and the job statuses that show what's waiting on money.

04

Job profit

Whether materials and labour reach the job, and whether your labour rates and overhead give you a real profit figure.

05

Purchasing, contractors and stock

Old purchase orders and contractor work orders, duplicate catalogue groups, and recurring jobs that stopped creating work.

06

Phone app, forms and users

Payment options on the app, invoice templates, how your email is sent, licences and security groups.

Read-only from start to finish: we look at everything and change nothing. Pay rates aren't reviewed, and on the Xero side we check what Simpro sends and what comes back, not the books inside Xero.

What you get

A short report, written for the owner.

Not for a Simpro admin. Every finding says what it means for your business.

The few things that matter now

A one-page summary of what's costing money or giving wrong figures today, and what's already working well.

Every finding, ranked

High: costing money or giving wrong figures now. Medium: causes rework. Low: tidy-up.

The process, drawn out

Where a process is the problem, such as deposits and claims through to Xero, the way we'd run it, drawn step by step.

An action plan with names on it

Numbered steps, each with who does it: you, your accountant or us. The ones to do first are marked.

Questions for you

The decisions only you can make, listed so they don't hold up the fixes.

What we didn't check

Stated plainly, so you know where the review stops.

How it runs

Five steps. You decide the fixes.

  1. 01

    Fifteen minutes first

You tell us how you quote, schedule and invoice, and what's bothering you about Simpro.

  2. 02

    A login, nothing installed

You give us a user in your Simpro. That is all the access the review needs.

  3. 03

    The review and the report

We go through the build read-only and write up what we found.

  4. 04

    We walk you through it

Report in hand, we go through the findings with you and agree the order.

  5. 05

Fix it, with us or without us

Use the action plan with your own team, or have us quote the fixes and do them with you. Our login comes off when the work is done.

After the review

A clean build first. Then the AI.

AI on a messy Simpro gets the wrong answers faster. Once the build is sound, JustAsk, the Simpro Lightning agents and anything we connect through the API have real figures to work with.

Questions

Review questions.

Will you change anything in our Simpro?

No. The review is read-only. Nothing changes unless you ask for it after reading the report.

Do we need Simpro Lightning?

No. We review the build you have, Lightning or not.

Do you look inside Xero?

We check what Simpro sends to Xero and what comes back: account links, tax codes, payments and fees. The books inside Xero stay with you and your accountant.

What does it cost?

It's quoted before we log in. Fixes are quoted separately, and you're free to do them yourselves.

Who sees our data?

Only the person doing your review. The report goes to you, and our login comes off your Simpro when the work is done.

Book a call

Is your Simpro costing you money?

Fifteen minutes. Tell us how you quote, schedule and invoice, and we'll tell you whether a review is worth doing.
