Your directory runs the listings. AI does the follow-up.
Brilliant Directories is good at listings, members, plans and publishing. It can't text a member, wait three days and try again, or answer a question at ten at night. We connect your BD site to a CRM and add the follow-up and AI it doesn't have, without moving your members, billing or site.
Your billing stays in BD · Your site stays your siteWe leave the good parts alone.
All of this keeps running in BD exactly as it does today.
Newsletters
Segmented sends to your members, with opens and clicks.
Triggered emails
Welcome, renewal and lead emails, including the instant-login links only BD can create.
Billing and reminders
Membership plans, payments and reminders before and after a renewal is due.
Lead matching
Enquiries matched to members, and pay-per-lead if you sell them.
Reviews and profile stats
Review-request buttons and analytics on every member profile.
Content and Smart Lists
BD's own AI for writing content, and Smart Lists for anything you can filter on.
Six jobs that land on you.
BD's own API has no messages, conversations, pipelines or calls, so none of this can happen inside it. Each one ends up done by hand, or not at all.
It can only send email
And only one way. Texts, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and webchat land in one thread per person in your CRM, and any of them can be automated.
It can't wait and try again
One email fires and that's the end of it. Sequences that wait, branch and stop when they've worked: welcome, lead nudge, renewal reminder, win-back.
It can't show who's drifting away
A Smart List is a filter, not a trend. Two boards, one for winning members and one for keeping them, kept in step with your BD site.
It can't take a phone call
The directory has no number, so it ends up being your mobile. A number of its own rings in an app, and a missed call gets a text back.
It can't answer a question
A buyer looking for a supplier has a search box. An assistant trained on your directory answers with your members by name, and sends the enquiry through you.
Imported profiles all sound the same
Bulk-imported listings often carry the same generic copy. Profiles drafted from each member's own website, sourced, and held for your approval before they publish.
Nothing moves out of BD.
Your directory stays the record of who is a member. The CRM sits beside it and does the talking.
- 01
Read through BD’s own API
Members, leads and form enquiries are read with an API key you control. Nothing in BD changes unless you approve it.
- 02
Into HighLevel
Each member and enquiry becomes a contact, matched on the BD member ID rather than the email, so nobody is doubled up. You hold your own HighLevel account.
- 03
Follow-up and AI on top
The sequences, boards, phone number and assistant, switched on one at a time, starting with the job that eats the most hours.
- 04
You approve what goes out
Anything sent under your directory’s name, or published to your site, waits for your OK until you choose otherwise.

BikeTrade AU runs on it.
Australia's bike trade directory, au.biketrade.biz, runs on Brilliant Directories with about 2,000 listings of retailers, distributors, brands and industry services. Its listings are synced to HighLevel, and trade news and job ads are published to the site through BD's API.
You approve. AI earns its way in.
Every build starts small and read-only, and gets write access one step at a time.
Dry run first
Every tool shows what it would change, and changes nothing until a person says yes.
You approve what matters
Quotes, refunds, anything sent under your name: a person signs off before it goes.
Customers know it's AI
Chat and voice agents say they are AI, offer a person, and announce recording before a call is recorded.
Your data stays yours
It lives in your own Simpro, ServiceM8, CRM and AI accounts. Nothing is copied into a system we own.
Built to local rules
Call-recording consent, the Spam Act for texts and email, the Do Not Call Register for AI voices, and no AI-written reviews.
Handed over properly
Every build ends with an AI policy and a register of the AI tools you use, with one named owner.

Brilliant Directories questions.
Do we have to leave Brilliant Directories?+
No. Listings, members, billing and your site stay in BD. The CRM sits beside it.
Do you sell HighLevel?+
No. You hold your own HighLevel account. We set it up for your directory and connect it to BD.
What about BD's own AI?+
BD's AI writes content inside BD. It can't hold a conversation, take a call or chase a member, because BD has no messages, calls or pipelines for AI to work on.
Will members get texts they didn't agree to?+
No. Texts and campaigns only go to members who have opted in, under the Spam Act.
Is this only for directories?+
No. If your business website runs on BD, the same connection sends its enquiries into your CRM.
The systems around your directory.
We don't replace what you run. We wire AI into it, connect it to what sits beside it, and train the people who use it.
