Outgrown ServiceM8? Move without losing a job.
Past 20 staff, or into projects with progress claims and variations? That's beyond what ServiceM8 says it's designed for, and it's where Simpro is built to work. We plan the move, bring your data across, build Simpro around how you work, and train the team before go-live.
Data brought across · Forms rebuilt · Team trained before go-liveServiceM8 says so too.
ServiceM8's own help centre says it's designed for businesses of "around 20 staff", and that it's "not designed for project management". Past either line, these are the jobs where businesses feel the edges.
Projects, not just call-outs
Staged progress claims, variations and retentions on bigger jobs, tracked against the budget.
Real job costing
Labour, materials and overhead landing on each job and cost centre, so you can see which work makes money.
Stock and purchasing
Stock across stores and vans, purchase orders from the job, and supplier price lists in the catalogue.
Pre-builds for quoting
Assemblies of parts and labour that make quoting fast and consistent across estimators.
Maintenance and compliance
Assets on customer sites, recurring service, and test results recorded against each asset.
More than one company
Several businesses or divisions run from one system, with reporting across them.
ServiceM8 also says it can work for larger teams, and that fit depends on your workflows more than headcount. If it still fits how you work, we'll tell you, and help you get more out of it instead. ServiceM8 page
Moved, rebuilt, or left where it is.
The two systems are shaped differently, so not everything should be copied. Each part gets the treatment that suits it.

Settled in. Then the AI.
A clean Simpro is the base for everything else: Simpro Lightning, website enquiries landing as leads, and calls written onto jobs.

Do you sell Simpro?+
No. You buy Simpro from Simpro. We plan the move, bring the data across, set it up and train the team.
Will our Xero history move?+
It doesn't need to. Both connect to Xero, and your invoices and payments stay there. Simpro takes over sending new ones.
Can we keep working in ServiceM8 during the move?+
Yes, right up to go-live. After that, new work starts in Simpro, and ServiceM8 stays open while open jobs finish.
What about our ServiceM8 add-ons?+
Each one is checked. Some have a Simpro version, some are covered by Simpro itself, and some are rebuilt through the Simpro API.
How long does it take?+
It depends on how much data and how many forms you have. You get a plan and a go-live date before we start.
What does it cost?+
It's quoted before it starts, once we've seen what you have.
Ready to make the move?
